Dear Parents/Guardians of incoming Kindergarten students:

Welcome to the Woodland Joint Unified School District!  You recently registered your child for Kindergarten, for the 2017-18 school year and this letter is to let you know about two additional enrollment options that are available to you.  The two additional options are:  (1) Dual Immersion Program and (2) Intradistrict Open Enrollment.  In order to apply for either of these programs, you will need to fill out an application.  The application this year is online at this webpage: https://schoolchoice.wjusd.org. The instructions have been sent to you and are included below.

Crazy Hat Spirit Day

Principal's Message

September 10, 2016

We are off to a good start at Maxwell School!

Last week, we kicked off our two parent groups. Our English Language Advisory Committee and Parent-Teacher Association meetings were well attended. Our ELAC and PTA parent both meet on the first Wednesday of each month in the library. We provide childcare and conduct meetings in both languages, English and Spanish. Please consider joining either or both of these groups and get to know your child’s school.

As your principal, I wanted to share that Maxwell School has made growth in our State Standardized SBAC Assessments. We saw improvement in both English Language Arts and Math. We know we have room to grow and will continue to push for more improvement this year. We have introduced new strategies this year that will take us where we want to be. If you have any questions regarding our school program or test results, please let us know. We would be happy to share information or to clarify any questions you may have.
